Care Tips for Your Tulips
-
Growth wonders: Please note that tulips will continue to grow a few centimeters in the vase. Therefore, choose a vase that is tall enough.
-
Less water: Unlike most flowers, tulips do not like a full vase. A layer of 5 to 10 cm of cold water is sufficient. This prevents the stems from softening too quickly and drooping.
-
Standing upright: If the tulips are a bit limp upon arrival, leave them in their paper or foil in the vase for an hour first. This allows them to hydrate and stay beautifully upright.
-
Not with daffodils: Never place tulips in the same vase as daffodils. Daffodils secrete a sap that tulips cannot tolerate, causing them to droop immediately.
