Care tips for your Tulips
-
Growth wonders: Please note that tulips continue to grow a few centimeters in the vase. Therefore, choose a vase that is tall enough.
-
Less water: Unlike most flowers, tulips do not like a full vase. A layer of 5 to 10 cm of cold water is sufficient. This prevents the stems from softening too quickly and drooping.
-
Straightening up: If the tulips are somewhat limp upon arrival, leave them in their paper or foil in the vase for an hour first. This allows them to hydrate and remain beautifully upright afterwards.
-
Not with daffodils: Never place tulips in the same vase as daffodils. Daffodils secrete a mucus that tulips cannot tolerate, causing them to droop immediately.
